After twenty years in education, most recently as a middle school Health teacher, I feel fortunate to join Aurora Counseling as a Clinical Mental Health counselor intern. I am excited to walk alongside you through life’s journeys and to also learn from the amazing team of experienced
and caring professionals and Aurora Counseling. I see teens and adults through telehealth.
Practicing Person-Centered Therapy (PCT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), my goal is to help you build skills and find strategies which will lead you to a more fulfilling and peacefullife. I wish to create a counseling environment that is safe and reassuring as we work through
life’s ups and downs. I believe that balance in all aspects of health, including physical, mental and social, is the key to feeling great; however, oftentimes this is easier said than done. My goal is to help you find a healthy balance in life that feels good!
I grew up in Kennewick, Washington then moved to Salem, Oregon where I call home. I completed my undergraduate degree in teaching Health and Physical Education from Concordia University in Portland and also earned a Master’s in Education which took me around the world.
I lived and taught overseas for five years in China, Russia and New Zealand and appreciate a good adventure and all of the people you meet along the way. I am currently working toward a Master’s in Mental Health Counseling from the University of the Southwest in Hobbs, New
Mexico.
I have two middle school aged kids, and they keep me busy! In my free time I can be found watching their football, track, soccer and music competitions, traveling, or maybe working in my yard enjoying some sunshine. I also love to laugh! I look forward to working with you on this journey called life.
