Personal Bio:

I am a 25-year resident of Alaska and understand many of the unique challenges that we face. I enjoy spending summers camping, gardening, and exploring our great state.
One of my favorite things to do every summer is attend Chickenstock. If you haven’t been, I highly recommend going! Winters are for traveling, spending time with friends
and family, and cooking. After 20 years working in the heating industry, I believe that I have found my calling in counseling. I have several family members who struggle with
mental health issues, and I have a passion for helping people. While I am not a “Christian Counselor” I am a Christian and am open to including spirituality in any form if
you choose to.

If you are a teen or adult who struggles with issues in your relationships, with self- esteem, past trauma, or anxiety I may be a good fit for you.

Qualifications:

I have an A.A. in Biblical Studies, my B.S. in Clinical Psychology, and am currently working on my master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. All of my degrees
are through Colorado Christian University which is CACREP certified and holds students to the highest standards.

Approach to Therapy:

I incorporate several methods of therapy including cognitive behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, person-centered, and strengths-based therapy. I work with
clients to determine what will work best for their needs and lifestyle and help them find the strengths within themselves, and to learn the skills to move forward in life healthier and happier.

Availability:

I currently offer in-person sessions only. My office hours are Tuesday afternoons from 3pm to 6pm and Fridays from 4pm to 6pm.
