Janet is a Behavioral Health specialist and Mental Health Provider, who is delighted to be working with Aurora Counseling in Fairbanks Alaska and is now accepting new clients.
Janet moved to Fairbanks, Alaska to work at Bassett Hospital on Fort Wainwright in June 2006. Thus began many years of working as a Professional Social Worker helping military members and families as well as Veterans.
Janet’s specialty is treating depression, anxiety, trauma recovery, grief and transitional change for all phases of life.
Alaska has been her adult home, where she raised her family, enjoyed the great outdoors, participated in school and college activities, and enjoyed her community.

2001 Graduate University of Alaska, Master's in Social Work.
Licensed Clinical Social Work, State of Alaska from 2007.
Certified Training:
EMDR, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Trauma Recovery, Grief Counseling, Motivational Interviewing, and Solution Focused Therapy.
